Ben Gorodetsky—founder of Mile Zero’s Dirt Buffet Cabaret series—is back from NYC for a special, one-off show! With a special emphasis on freaky fun, ecstatic experimentation, and big-city bullshit, Ben has curated an all-star variety show that promises to blow the doors off the Mile Zero performance laboratory.

Ben Gorodetsky is a theatre maker, writer, producer, burlesque performer, and educator based in Brooklyn. Prior to moving to NYC to pursue an MFA in Performance and Interactive Media Arts at Brooklyn College – CUNY Ben lived for seven years in Edmonton. Ben is co-creator of the award-winning, internationally-touring, cultural comedy and production duo Folk Lordz (with Todd Houseman). As a host, curator, and producer Ben created and ran the experimental variety show Dirt Buffet Cabaret at Mile Zero Dance for three years. His multimedia, physical theatre performances have been presented at NextFest, Expanse Festival, SpringWorks, and Fringe festivals across Canada. Teaching and performing improvisation has taken Ben from Toronto to Austin, Yellowknife to Vienna, Ljubljana to Reunion (near Madagascar!), and all the way to Rapid Fire Theatre where he served as Associate Artistic Director for five years. Ben also performs burlesque and nightclub variety acts under the alias Ding-Dong Daddy. The Professional Arts Coalition of Edmonton named Ben the Emerging Artist of the Year at the 2016 Mayor’s Celebration of the Arts. Ben is a graduate of the University of Alberta’s BFA Acting conservatory.
