Field Work Studio Installation – April 12 and 13

Mile Zero Dance presents “Field Work”, a new work from Artistic Director Gerry Morita. Morita will be joined by visual artist Kasie Campbell, working towards a site-specific showing June 21+ 22 in a field in Leduc.

This presentation will be an in-process exploration, free to all, in an open house format. Salt Licks by Saskatchwan cows will be on display in the lobby, as well as art by Leanne Jensen-Snelling.

Starting with the idea of creating a concert for cows, Artistic Director Gerry Morita will create new work that returns to her rural roots to explore movement and images that involve animals, the land, and the infinite impossibility of ever finishing work.

Field Work – June 21 and 22

Mile Zero Dance presents the next instalment of “Field Work”, a new body of work from Artistic Director Gerry Morita on June 21 and 22. Morita will be joined by visual artist Kasie Campbell, dancer Theresa Dextrase, and musicians collaborating in a field in Leduc, AB.

This presentation will depart Spazio Performativo (10816-95 St) at 8 pm and return by 11 pm.

Humans are invited to share this concert for cows, and to dress appropriately for an outdoor show in the field.

This work reflects Morita’s rural roots with movement and images that involve animals, the land, and the infinite impossibility of ever finishing work.
