REELING: DANCING ON SCREEN
Dance film is a rapidly changing medium that encompasses every dance style and point of inspiration. Join us in Little Italy to view some of the most striking short dance film creations that the world has to offer. Short dance films in the streets and in local businesses of Boyle McCauley that are curated by Gerry Morita and Julia Grochowski.
Mile Zero’s Reeling: Dancing on Screen transforms the storefronts of Boyle McCauley businesses into mini-cinemas for one week. From September 15-22, more than 15 films will be displayed across eight venues in the Boyle McCauley neighbourhood including Mile Zero’s Spazio Performativo, Italian Centre, Spinelli’s Cafe, Zocalo, Kafana, Kulya, and Venetian Barber.
The festival program, curated by Artistic Director Gerry Morita and Julia Grochowski, features local, national, and international submissions.
