Audrey Boccara

Originally from France, Audrey Boccara started her professional training in 2007 at the Paris Opera Ballet School. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Classical Dance from Paris’ National Superior Conservatory for Music & Dance. In 2014, Audrey arrived in Canada, dancing with Ballet Eddy Toussaint de Montréal, Atlantic Ballet, and Ballet Edmonton. In 2020, she joined Ukrainian Shumka Dancers, where she has had the amazing opportunity to be a soloist in the Nutcracker, perform in Mosquito’s Wedding, as well as the world premieres of Echoes of Hopak and My Yeh. With her solo “White Swan” she combines the grace and beauty of ballet with the incredible strength and uniqueness of aerial dance.

Deviani Andrea

Deviani Andrea is a dance artist based in Amiskwaciwâskahikan / Edmonton. Originally from Mexico City, she holds a BA in Literature by the University of Mexico and studied at the Mexico City’s Dance School and Ema Pulido’s Dance Studio. Since landed in Canada, Deviani has worked as Movement Instructor for the Citadel Theatre, and as a guest teacher with Azimuth Theatre. She has performed with Skirts Afire, Mile Zero Dance, Fringe Festival, Found Festival and Orchesis Dance Society and has choreographed for the Alberta Musical Theater Company.

Her independent work has been kindly supported by the Edmonton Arts Council and the Alberta Foundation for the Arts.

This summer she’s going to perform the final version of her solo ESPARTANAE and collaborate with Shammy Belmore to create a choreography to be performed in public spaces around the city as part of the Creative Exchange Project by the CanDance Network.

She likes biking in the summer and skiing in the winter, brewing kombucha, and consuming content in different languages.

Artasia

Artasia is Edmonton’s sexiest goddess of the stage. You’ll be fascinated with her style as she likes to bring her very own creative and handmade outfits exuding fun, excitement and vivaciousness! Hailing from the Philippines, this POC Queen awes the crowd every time with her agile moves and her gorgeous smile.

Jizz Elle

Her name is a metaphor for the masculine and feminine, as she embodies both. Jizz Elle is a chic and campy gender bending popstar who can turn a look and perform the haus down boots. Her drag aesthetic is AASS (androgynous, artsy, seductive, and sickenening) with a dash of every single iconic woman and queer legend she is inspired by. You’ll always be curious what she has up her sleeve as she allures the audience with her grace and bravery; as a being of creativity, intellect, and confidence.

DJ Giovanni

TheGiovanni
Born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, he describes himself as an eclectic human being who really enjoys food but is compelled to make people dance through his collection of music. Later this season, he will be dancing with the Jen Mesch Dance Conspiracy.
