ABOUT THE CLASS
The Story We Dance is a series of short dance pieces, each carrying a different chapter of the Palestinian story. Through Palestinian dabke and contemporary movement, every piece reflects a moment, feeling, or memory.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Tha’er Askar is a Palestinian dance artist based in Edmonton with experience in dabke, contemporary movement, choreography, and performance training. He specializes in building dancers’ technique, rhythm, stamina, posture, coordination, stage presence, and group formations, creating performances that merge Palestinian dance roots with contemporary movement language.
