Thinking Body © with Isabelle Rousseau
A four-week session on ZOOM!
Tuesdays, February 1 to 22, 2022 – 7 to 7:45PM
Reclaiming vitality and range of motion, finding rest within movement, building strength and stability: these are a few of the outcomes this class wishes to bring you through the study and embodiment of your skeleton. This accessible practice is self-regulating and readily available to all mobilities. You will be introduced to getting feedback from your body through the use of “test postures” sustained in slow, anatomically optimal positions.
The class is injury-free and can be practiced by all as a prequel to any health and training protocol, no matter where you are on your journey to a deeper relationship to your self.
Isabelle teaches dance and movement to different ages and all abilities; whether young people, adults or families. She focuses on the pleasure of moving and basic patterns of movement, guided by several traditions and styles. The classes are festive and inclusive, and draw on her experience as a somatic educator and a performer.
