We’re seeking an Education Coordinator to join the Mile Zero Dance team!

Qualifications:
- Post- secondary education in dance education, or equivalent.
- Professional dance experience, teaching experience, and a broad knowledge of dance forms.
- Strong creative and technical skills.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Strong administration and writing skills.
- Knowledge of the school system is an asset.
Responsibilities:
- Reports to the Artistic Director of Mile Zero Dance Society.
- Plans and coordinates seasonal educational activity of the Society by planning workshops, Artists-In-Schools-Residency-Programs, lecture demonstrations and performances.
- Does all necessary paperwork for teaching pedagogy, programming, advertising, scheduling, and communications with clients.
Assisting schools to apply for the AFA Artists and Education funding due May 1st.
- Hires choreographers/performers/instructors for all educational activities, and facilitates the residencies.
- Coordinates scheduling of rehearsals and workshops.
- Plans and maintains budgets.
- Performs all necessary office work – ie. Phone calls, invoicing, mail, bill payments, etc.
This is a 3 month contract for approximately 150 total hours. The pay is $30/hr. There is a possibility of contract renewal.
